|MICROSTEP STEPPER MOTOR DRIVE MST-107|
MST-107 is microstep drive for stepper motors. Control of a stepper motor is done via opto-isolated STEP/DIR/ENA lines. PWM mode with a frequency of 19 kHz ensures quiet operation.
Stepper motor current is set in the range of 0.75 to 7.5 A by one external resistor.
Control of stepper motor is realised through 3-wire step, direction and enable interface. This means that for multi-axis control can be using the already developed software such as Mach2, Mach3, TurboCnc (free), KCam and similar control software.
MST-107 can be connected to PC pallalel port (LPT) by using brakout board IO3-R2 .
Drive output stage use powerful MOSFETs in TO220 package.
Drive reduces motor phase current to 50% of the set value when the motor is stopped more than 2 s. This reduces unnecessary heating of stepper motor.
Built-in soft start energizes stepper motor 1s after the arrival of the supply voltage, reducing electric shock at power up.
For currents above 3A per phase drive require additional heat sink.
